After two days of dealing with my busy workloads as a teacher, today I can finally spend some time to write this blog again. Phew~
Today, I have two things to write about. First of all, I would love to share a genuine story that did happen at the school I am currently teaching. It just happened on 16th of April, Friday(which was also my birthday ^^).
It was around 1 pm. The school gradually became tranquil as almost all the students had already gone back. Only a number of teachers including me were at the staff's room. I was busy marking my students' homework while the rest were chatting.
Then, two adults and a kid went into the room and the man asked, "who is Teacher Lee Kai Wang?" The teacher quickly walked towards the man. The man then started to speak in a ferocious tone, "did you cane this kid till he suffered this injury?" Meanwhile, he pulled up the shirt of the kid. Gosh, there was a scar on his back, and it was the scar for being caned! I believe the teacher must be very angry at that instant.
The man was angry and the teacher bowed and said sorry to him, but the man could not accept. He kept spitting, "saying sorry can solve everything? How if I cane you?" The teacher was speechless. Then, the woman continued, "how can you cane a student like this? You are a teacher!" She turned towards us and said, "teachers, please look!" She tried to show us the scar on the back of the kid even more clearly. She looked at the teacher again and went on, "you better give us a good explanation, or we will just report to the police!"
A male teacher quickly walked towards the adults and suggested them to settle this case in the vice-principal room. Then, all of them entered the room.
After a while, three of them came out and left the staff's room. It seemed that the case was solved in peace. I was not really clear what was happening, but I only knew that it was just an accident, the teacher accidentally caned the student.
Well, being a teacher is not easy today. Apart from dealing with his/her heavy workloads, he/she still has to treat and handle the mischievous students patiently and skillfully, so that he/she will not face the parents. I think I am really not suitable to be a teacher as I know I cannot stand the students to behave in an annoying way like what I have mentioned previously. Anyway, I just tried to get some experiences so I really understand how a teacher's life is.
I think this is all about the story. The second thing? Please go to my next blog! ^^
Life is a learning process. Any encounters along the path make ponder the meaning of life – hopefully make me a happy soul who lives my life to the fullest.
